James is a partner in Mourant Ozannes’ Finance & Corporate and Funds teams. James joined Mourant Ozannes in October 2001, having graduated from Cambridge University and having previously worked in London for a major City law firm. James’ practice covers corporate (including complex corporate structuring, IPOs, redomiciliations, M&A and joint venture work), investment funds (both public and private, covering all relevant asset types), capital markets (debt and equity), banking and general offshore structuring work. James’ clients include Vodafone, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Morgan Stanley, RBS, Cairn Energy, Heritage Oil, KazakhGold, Polyus Gold, Wood Group, Capital & Regional, Highcross, SWIP and Invesco.
