Stephanie joined Mourant Ozannes in August 2002 after graduating from the University of the West of England with a degree in International Business with French and completing the postgraduate diploma in law and the Legal Practice Course.

In October 2007, Daniel Birtwistle and Stephanie Cope advised Segulah, the Stockholm based private equity firm, on the launch of its fourth fund, Segulah IV L.P. Segulah IV L.P., is a SEK 5 billion private equity fund, which focuses on lower mid- market buyouts in the Nordic region.

Nigel Weston and Stephanie Cope advised in relation to The Grosvenor Residential Unit Trust in November 2007. The fund is structured as a Jersey unit trust authorised for Jersey regulatory purposes as an Expert Fund. Sponsored by Grosvenor Investment Management Limited, the fund invests in The Grosvenor Residential Investment Fund, a UK partnership which invests in quality residential investment properties in clearly researched and defined clusters of cities and towns situated throughout the United Kingdom.

In November 2009, Jacqueline Richomme and Stephanie Cope acted for the Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund in a £100 million plus transaction involving the acquisition by the Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund of Manchester Fort Shopping Park from Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited in exchange for units, two properties and a cash balance, and also involved amendments to the Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund debt facility security portfolio.
