Credit Controller, Guernsey

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance department for an experienced Credit Controller. The key element of this role is the prompt and effective collection of partnership debts in relation to the Guernsey office and associated corporate entities.

The successful candidate will have proven credit control history - preferably within a large corporation, excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy.

Employment Lawyer (Part-time), Guernsey

This is a rare opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic lawyer to join our busy Employment team, dealing with the full range of employment services. This will specifically include the review of existing client employment documentation, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, drafting new employment documentation and offering general professional advice and guidance to clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' PQE in an employment-related role and will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of Guernsey employment law. The working hours are negotiable.

Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence Lawyer - Insurance Risk Group, Guernsey

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with at least 3 years' PQE (inclusive of relevant experience) to join our prestigious team. The role will involve all aspects of insurance litigation with a particular emphasis on personal injury and clinical negligence.

The successful candidate will be expected to utilise and expand upon their existing knowledge to cover the full range of services on offer to our clients. Previous offshore experience would be useful but is not essential. The working hours are negotiable and this position may suit experienced candidates wishing to return to work after a career break on a part-time or school hours basis.

Secretarial Assistant, Guernsey

This vacancy presents an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to enter the legal sector in a secretarial/administrative capacity. The successful candidate will preferably have some relevant office experience coupled with administrative or secretarial qualifications, good organisational and communication skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Full training will be provided for this varied role which will include copy and audio typing, client matter opening, initial due diligence, time recording, answering and filtering telephone calls together with other administrative tasks.

Paralegals/Legal Assistants, Guernsey and Jersey

Have you recently graduated or are you a student looking to start permanent employment? Mourant Ozannes has opportunities in both the Funds and Finance & Corporate practice areas for bright individuals with excellent academic results and good IT and communication skills to work alongside our lawyers. We are always interested in receiving applications from LLB graduates and graduates of other disciplines who have attained the GDL, for permanent or fixed term contracts. Applicants should hold local residential qualifications.
